Description
Bring a touch of royalty to your art with the Emperor Pearl Powdered Pigment, a dark and dignified plum pigment with a wealth of uses to the curious artist. The soft, gossamer powder is easily added to varnishes, acrylics, oils ands other base substances to create a dramatic and attention-grabbing colour, and can even be used own its own as a dry powder! Mix with The Paper Mill Mixing Fluid to turn these pigments into acrylic paints.
Use Pearl Powdered Pigment whenever a pearly metallic effect is desired. A safe, pearlescent, non-toxic, inert powdered pigment ideal for interior and archival applications. Simply mix with the Pearl Mixing Medium to use wet through misters, refillable pens, ink droppers, bottles or brushes. Use as a dry powder by applying with brushes, sponge applicators or just rub it on. Not for cosmetic use. Can be mixed with acrylics, oils, alcohol inks, glues, resins, clays, varnishes. Clean up with water.

It's a lovely dark purple, but it's obviously a mix of different pigments because you can't lighten the hue.

Such a stunning purple, it almost appears black but is actually a very deep, rich purple and it has a beautiful purple-to-pink sheen. Absolutely love all of these pigments, they are so versatile! I added mine to gum Arabic to create my own pearlescent/metallic watercolour paints and thy turned out gorgeous!!! You can even mix pigments to create your own unique colours. I add these to resin, acrylic paints, polymer clay and even alcohol inks to create custom items.
