I found this to hold a lot of paint, which saved time as I wasn't constantly dipping it in paint. At first I thought it was going to be flimsy but the plastic was sturdier than it looks. There is some flexibility in the handle, which actually makes it a bit easier to use. If you have applied enough paint, it spreads really well and makes covering large areas nice and quick. If you end up pushing a little too hard, the section holding the sponge will touch your canvas and may scratch it, so just be gentle, it doesn't need that amount of pressure.
